Dec. 13, 2010 - PRLog -- Co-founder Edmund Benson explains, “David needed only one of his five smooth stones to slay Goliath. With all the anger, worry and stress facing us today, we have identified the need for a twenty-first century arsenal of stones, each serving a specific purpose.”

Positivity stones are a collection of five polished stones: Three stones represent worry, anger and stress; the other two stones represent gratitude and smiles. The user selects a stone to represent each emotion. Channeling worries, stress or anger to the chosen stone, washing it with soap and water, and allowing the negativity to be washed down the drain represents the cleansing of that emotion. The gratitude stone is a storehouse for appreciation, and the smile stone is a reminder that every smile can instantly replace negativity. The stones come in a velvet pouch that includes directions for their use.  Go to the ARISE website to purchase the positivity stones:

ARISE’s award-winning programs are used worldwide by juvenile justice staff, teachers, counselors, special educators, mental health and residential child-care professionals. The positivity stones are an innovative tool in ARISE Foundation’s powerful arsenal of training materials to help focus positive energy and combat negativity. ARISE offers life skills staff training and certification courses, books, videos, posters, positivity cards and more.

Since ARISE was established almost three decades ago, it has trained and certified over 5,760 group facilitators (instructors) who have taught more than 4,415,700 documented hours of ARISE life-skills lessons in Florida alone. ARISE is used across the US and in Canada, Jamaica, England, Australia, Bahamas, Bermuda, New Zealand, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Bosnia, Kazakhstan, Kingdom of Bahrain, South Africa, American Samoa, Pakistan, Vietnam and Uganda. The ARISE curriculum is also available in Spanish.
