By: PRMG Mr. Schwimmer, of Syosset, has been a member of the Syosset Chamber of Commerce for a number of years. He has been with Renaissance since 2003, dealing with credit card and debit card service programs and offering insight into the areas of credit card fraud and identity theft issues. In the past, he has worked with some of the largest financial institutions including Bank of America Merchant Services, NaBANCO and First Data Merchant Services. “I am very grateful to be named a director of this wonderful organization,” Earlier this year, Mr. Schwimmer became Chairman of the Long Island Better Business Bureau Advisory Board of Directors and was reappointed Director of the Long Island chapter of The Institute of Management Accountants. He was also appointed to the Long Island Works Regional Industry Advisory Council (RIAC), which ensures that Long Island has a skilled and dedicated future workforce by aligning economic development, workforce development and education. Mr. Schwimmer has also been named to the Council of School-Business Partnerships of Long Island, Inc. (SBPLI)-LI FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). SBPLI-LI FIRST creates partnerships between local high schools and businesses that would provide students with practical experience and curriculum development, while helping the business community develop its future workforce. He previously served as SBPLI-LI FIRST’s council member. In addition to these two roles, Mr. Schwimmer has been working with many non-profit organizations serving health, family, children, pets and other community-related issues. He is Past Chairman of the Foundation for Sight and Sound, which is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals affected by various visual and/or auditory challenges. Mr. Schwimmer is the Past President of the National Association of Payment Professionals. He is also a Board Member of the New York City Metropolitan Better Business Bureau; and Member of Execuleaders; Mr. Schwimmer is married to his wife of 45 years, Marilyn.
