Follow on Google News | It's Already Started From Singer/Songwriter Martin BlasickMartin Blasick releases third album of 2010, It's Already Started, tackling themes of metaphysics, electric cars and great partying.
By: Elvis Duffy PR Originally intending to put the collection out in near demo condition Blasick kept going back to the recordings to add nuances. Endorsed by Samick Greg Bennett guitars the backbone of the album is his Royale guitar and bass. Blasick says, "This is my first one man band album. I played real drums and Omnichord, a funky electronic autoharp for what would usually be keyboard sounds. I'd learned of it being used on some David Bowie recordings. Writing on a weekly schedule got me into what I call the open door to creativity. Without pushing any agenda the words capture where I was at that moment." There are three posthumous collaborations with the great English romantic poets, Lord Byron, John Keats and Percy Bysshe Shelley. A poem of each is set to song. "Every time I sing one of these poetry based songs I get a new meaning from the words. Something to explore further in the future to be sure," says Blasick. "I'm looking forward to taking these songs to the stage. House concerts and streaming internet broadcasts are venues in which I'm eager to perform." Blasick is best known for writing Lindsey Lohan's "Don't Move On" which she sang onscreen in Disney's Confessions Of A Teenage Drama Queen. He's produced music featured in the movies Oceans 12 & 13, The Matador and in television shows Lost, Ugly Betty, Army Wives and Samantha Who and many more. Blasick is riding a creative wave that has seen the release of three albums in 2010. Mother Mine dropped on his birthday, June 20. Happy Holidays, a Christmas album debuting ten original carols and two classics, was an inspiration that sprang forth in late September and got completed just in time for Santa's run. Radio play and great fan response indicate a cheerful future for these future classics. All of his albums are available on iTunes, but Martin has a special fondness for the download site Bandcamp. "It's better for the artist and the fan" says he. "They allow downloads in a variety of file types including high quality without any iTunes copy protection. And on the artist end it pays immediately and at higher percentage than iTunes so less of a fan's money goes into corporate pockets." http://martinblasick.bandcamp.com/ Martin Blasick is looking forward to bringing his music to a wider audience in 2011 primarily through social media. "That's why this is a digital only release." Blasick says. "I allows me to get my music out directly to the whole world." # # # Elvis Duffy PR is a boutique public relations agency specializing in online promotion of music artists and actors utilizing cutting edge web promotion techniques.
