Mathworks Honors Summer Math Camp now accepting applications for 2011

Jan. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- The Mathworks Honors Summer Math Camp (HSMC) at Texas State University is now accepting applications for the 2011 program.  The HSMC inspires and encourages high school students of all backgrounds to do mathematics at a high level.  The six-week residential summer math program is held on the campus of Texas State University - San Marcos.  In its 22nd year, the HSMC provides a unique learning environment that develops talented youth to be future leaders in the science, engineering, and mathematics fields.  

Students are taught by university faculty, mentored by undergraduate counselors, and share the joy of exploring mathematics with their peers.  Courses include Number Theory, Mathematica Lab, and Honors Seminar.  Weekends are filled with engaging guest speakers and field trips.
