RMI Consulting Receives 2010 Reader’s Choice Award

Jan. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- RMI Consulting has received the 2010 Reader’s Choice Award in Risk Management from Business Insurance magazine.  This marks four consecutive years that the readers of the magazine have cast their votes for RMI from a large field of national firms as the recipient of this distinction.  RMI President MaryAnn Sackman attended the recent gala event in Chicago to accept the award.

“It is a great honor to have this recognition from the industry,” said Sackman.  “I pledge that we will continue to earn the good faith and endorsement of the business community as we have now for four consecutive years.”

In 1980, MaryAnn Sackman and James Barber co-founded RMI Consulting and created a brand based upon assuming a strategic role for clients — equivalent to that of an in-house risk manager.  Today, RMI clients represent multiple industries, including real estate, food management, health care, educational institutions and more.  The company is also recognized for its innovative group purchasing programs under the umbrella RPG Management, providing cost-effective risk coverage aligned by industry.

In 2010, Long Island Business News named Ms. Sackman one of Long Island’s Top 50 Influential Women in Business and she received the 2009 Women in Real Estate distinction by New York Real Estate Journal.  In 2008, RMI Consulting earned Long Island Business News’  “Best of Long Island” recognition.  A member of the Society of Risk Management Consultants, Ms. Sackman is an industry trailblazer and a model for others in the field.
