Georgia Mover Offers Discounts to IL Residents after 66% Tax Increase Bill Passes

For qualifying businesses or residents in Illinois or any state that raises income taxes excessively, Décor is offering the “I’m Outta Here” special of 10-50% off of their already discounted rates for those who wish to exercise their right to relocate. The special is described as relief from higher taxes with financial savings for those businesses or residents who relocate to Atlanta, GA. The “I’m Outta Here” special starts immediately and is described as a way to welcome new jobs to Georgia and help people burdened by high taxes.

“As a small business owner, I’m struggling to stay above water. Where would I be without my employees? I can’t reduce salaries any more. I can’t lay more people off. It’s heart-wrenching. When you already are hungry, adding more taxes is like drawing blood from a rock. We just don’t have it to give,” said Rupert Parchment, Owner of Décor Moving Services, Inc.

According to an article he read in the Chicago CBS Local website (www.chicago.cbslocal.com), both the House and Senate voted to raise the income taxes on Individuals by 66% and Corporations by almost 50% to pay for the states outstanding $15 Billion in debt. In addition, spending cuts and spending limits are additional measures that will be a part of the plan. Parchment jokingly stated, “I guess money grows on trees. Maybe the people should grow trees that sprout $100 bills but they would just tax the trees too”.

Décor, like many businesses has lost over 30% of its revenue due to customers closing down and decreased demand for services. “When we started, we had an exclusive clientele. Now, we will move anyone with smaller profit margins. Sometimes we do a move just so the guys can feed their families. God knows, I’m just grateful for any new business,” said Parchment.

When asked, Parchment states he is optimistic about the “I’m Outta Here” special because he feels many more states will follow with increased property & income taxes and excessive regulations rather than cutting spending. He believes that politicians in those states just raise taxes believing the people will not leave. Parchment stated, “I look at the situation as an opportunity to get some new neighbors, help fellow Georgians get work and help put food on the table for my employees & me, it’s a blessing! If these politicians get their act together, Décor will be glad to move the people back but I doubt they will. Who wants to pay 50% higher taxes?”
