Janis Research celebrates 50th year with expansion of manufacturing facility

Jan. 14, 2011 - PRLog -- Janis Research has completed an expansion of their Wilmington, Massachusetts manufacturing facility and begins the 2011 New Year with the entire manufacturing operation under one roof. The expansion fosters continuity of manufacturing processes and allows improved flow of product, materials, and communications within the company. Lean manufacturing objectives are continuing to be implemented, leading to improved throughput and improvement in on-time delivery to customers.

The increased availability of floor space created by the 8000 square foot building expansion and the Lean manufacturing practices are anticipated to provide ample room for the growth Janis Research has been experiencing over the past several years. The newly created space currently houses the shipping and receiving departments, system integration area for large systems, and additional office space to accommodate the increase in staff required to meet continued growth in business.

Completion of this expansion project coincides with the 50th anniversary of Janis Research Company.  From the beginning, Janis has endeavored to offer high quality products at competitive prices, and has excelled at optimizing each system to closely match the particular experimental application.
