Elementary school children may compete in the placemat competition; middle schoolers in the poster contest and high students in the T-shirt design competition.  The artwork submitted to Atlanta Technical College will be entered in the statewide competition where three winners will be chosen in each of the three groupings.  The first-, second- and third-place winners in each category will be honored at the Governor’s Awards Luncheon on April 28 at the Georgia International Convention Center.  At that time the governor of Georgia will present each winner with a certificate, and the first-place winners receive monetary scholarships for $500.
