Matt Cusson receives "Song of The Year" Oasis Award nomination

Jan. 20, 2011 - PRLog -- Singer-songwriter Matt Cusson has received a "Song of The Year" nomination from the Oasis Contemporary Jazz Award committee for his lauded composition "One Of Those Nights".

The song (written and produced by Matt Cusson), won the John Lennon Songwriting Contest for "Best Jazz Song"(2008), and claimed the "Maxell - Song of the Year" (2009) - but never received a single release until the fall of 2010.

During the summer of 2010, work began on a remix and orchestration of the song with well known composer/arranger Bill Meyers (David Foster, Natalie Cole, etc.) for a Spectra worldwide release.

The new version was released on November 9, 2010 and started a wave of support from fans and radio, spanning Europe, Canada, the United States and South America.

The Oasis Contemporary Jazz Awards ceremony will held on March 12, 2011 at the San Diego
Civic Center, San Diego, California.

"One Of Those Nights" is slated for its physical release March 8, 2011 and is currently on various digital outlets including Amazon, iTunes, Rhapsody, and Napster.
