By: Dr. Kevin Ross Emery The Wei Chi Healing Center & Shop at 57 Wingate Street in Haverhill marks its grand opening on Saturday, January 29 and Sunday January 30 with a variety of free presentations. There is also a paid workshop Saturday night at 7 p.m. entitled "Cultural Inconvenience: "One of the meanings of Wei Chi is 'to bring order out of chaos' and that's what we help our students and clients do here at the Wei Chi Healing Center & Shop. And in these times that is needed more than ever," said Dr. Kevin Ross Emery, a proprietor of the Wei Chi Healing Center. The Wei Chi system of natural healing uses ancient principles to reduce stress and maintain well-being. Using knowledge handed down over the centuries from Tibetan masters, Wei Chi returns the healing art of Reiki to a more natural form. Presentations will range from aromatherapy and astrology to introductions to Feng Shui and Wei Chi. Along with Wei Chi healing sessions, the shop offers books, CDs, DVDs, crystals, candles and reiki sessions. "More and more people are beginning to realize that no one else is going to make it right for them or take care of them. In the Wei Chi Healing modalities we define our work as 'the process of empowering one to heal oneself,'" added Emery.
