| Sergio wants to smileSergio Garcia will make his seasonal bow in Bahrain this weekend hoping to bring the fun back to his game to spark a return to something like his old form.
By: golfdiscountsale Garcia took a ten-week break from golf after the USPGA Championship last year as he grew disillusioned with his diminishing form and slump down the rankings. The Spaniard has tumbled 60 places in the rankings and now resides down at 80th in the world, with both his form and his enjoyment of the game at a low ebb. However, as he prepares to return to the course at the inaugural Volvo Golf Champions event in Bahrain this week, he is hoping to find the fun in golf again. The 31-year-old, winner of 19 tournaments in his career, wants to get back into the swing of things in Bahrain, and believes enjoying himself out on the course is key to a return to form.. Very keen "I am very keen to get the season underway and definitely, looking forward to it," Garcia said. "So just looking forward to playing, looking forward to enjoying it out there, and hopefully have a good time and do some of the things we know how to do. "There is some work that needed to be done, but I think as the week goes on, we'll get better. "I played nine holes this morning and the game feels fine. So I guess, like I said before, as the week goes on, you kind of get into competition mode and you start getting used to it. "Hopefully, we can off to a good start, get some good confidence on our side." Garcia did play in the season-ending Dubai World Championship, where he finished 21st, and at the Castellon Masters event which he hosts. Vice captain The Spaniard was also seen at the Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor in Wales last October as one of Colin Montgomerie's European vice-captains. Garcia was a lively presence on the course and was said to have given the whole team a great energy in their thrilling victory, and although it was thought to have given him an appetite for the game again, he admitted he found it frustrating. "It was a bit frustrating being in Wales not as a competitor," “Because even though you try to do as much as possible and you try to help the team as much as you can, obviously when you're not playing you feel like you're a little bit left out.” More information at http://www.shoppinginjoy.com/ # # # iscount Golf Clubs, discount Golf Equipment, Golf Accessories& End
