"Michael Jackson: King of Pop" deftly blends the talents of the Colorado Symphony with the rock sensibility of the Jeans n' Classics band and award-winning vocalists. This one-night-only concert will deliver more than simply hit music. This is a new way of interpreting and enjoying some of the greatest music produced in the past 40 years, highlighting Jackson's roots in R&B and soul to his rise as an international pop icon. The Jeans n' Classics concept of combining rock and pop music with orchestral arrangements has drawn record-setting capacity crowds in orchestra halls across Canada and the United States. Unlike impersonators or tribute bands who imitate an artist, Jeans n' Classics collaborates with orchestras to present engaging and fresh interpretations of popular music. Jackson fans can rest-assured, the February 19 Colorado Symphony concert also features many classics, including "I Want You Back," "Ben," "Workin' Day and Night" and "The Way You Make Me Feel." Remaining tickets currently start from $19. Praise for Jeans n' Classics "From the very first notes played, the audience sat up and took notice. Peter Brennan's orchestral arrangements, with Daniel Warren conducting, complemented the original songs, adding depth and resonance to the diverse range of songs covered throughout the evening." - "Kitchener Waterloo-Record" "Platform shoes were all that were missing from Saturday night's symphony concert. The Wichita Falls Symphony Orchestra and Canada-based Jeans 'N Classics gave us everything else in this sassiest and sauciest of symphony shows, one that transported us by way of resplendent disco balls and Chuck Mangione grooves back to the '70s." - "Times Record News" "Their popular rock-band-meets- "An evening spent with the folks of Jeans 'n Classics is an evening well-spent."
