The Trium Group Boosts Leadership and Capability with New Principal Hire

Trium, the boutique management consulting firm that specializes in organizational transformation and strategy execution, adds business leader and author Christian Ellis
Feb. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- SAN FRANCISCO—The Trium Group, the boutique management consulting firm that specializes in organizational transformation and strategy execution, announced that it has hired veteran consultant and business author Christian Ellis as its newest principal.

Ellis joins Trium after spending much of his 20-year professional career at Sibson Consulting, a consultancy focused on human resources as an enabler of strategy and execution, where he worked his way up to the positions of Senior Vice President/Managing Partner and National Practice Leader. Along the way, he provided leadership to several regional offices and the firm’s Organizational Effectiveness practice while also delivering strategic engagements for clients including General Electric, Chevron, the Principal Financial Group, Merck, McKee Foods, Colgate-Palmolive, Maytag, PwC, and Stanford University.

Most recently, Ellis took time off from consulting in order to reflect and write The Enlightened Enterprise: Walking the Path of the Conscious and High Performing Organization—a book that challenges and teaches readers to create increased organizational value by integrating a broad range of disciplines and philosophies into a multi-dimensional blueprint for building the successful, sustainable enterprise. He has also lectured at leading business schools and advanced research and thought leadership in media including Fortune, Industry Week, and USA Today.

“Trium is committed to building more brilliant organizations, and there’s no time like the present for organizations to act big and bold to elevate their performance,” said Andrew Blum, Trium Founder and Managing Partner. “Consistent with this thinking and commitment, Chris is a fantastic addition who brings new leadership and capability to Trium and our clients.”

More details on Ellis’ capabilities and credentials:

• Developed significant expertise in the areas of strategy development & execution, high-performance work design & culture, human performance improvement, workforce development and productivity, and large-scale enterprise transformation.

• Built up proficiency in creating internal firm processes and structures for increased cross-practice collaboration, “trusted advisor” orientation, and vertical market penetration.

• Earned his MBA from the Duke University Fuqua School of Business and his BS in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University. He also completed graduate coursework at the University of Chicago.

Trium’s other principals—each promoted from within after delivering success and earning meaningful client feedback on multiple engagements—are Monica Chi, Shani Harmon, and Brad Sutton. Additional information about these leaders and other team members can be found at http://www.triumgroup.com.

For its search that culminated in Ellis’ hiring, the firm retained Rice Cohen International.
