Pyschodots To Open For Todd Rundgren Albums Concert in Toledo

Feb. 12, 2011 - PRLog -- The Ohio born psychodots have been added as special guests for the Todd Rundgren "Todd" and "Healing" Albums Live concert being held at the Stranahan Theater in Toledo, OH on 3/30/11.  Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com and the Stranahan Theater Box Office.

The psychodots are one of Ohio's premier power pop trios, consisting of guitarist Rob Fetters, bassist Bob Nyswonger, and drummer/multi-instrumentalist Chris Arduser. Born out of Cincinnati's beloved Raisins and the world-travelling Bears, psychodots combine witty, heartfelt songwriting with highly skilled musicianship and electric live performances.

Rob handles guitar and vocals for psychodots. He's an accomplished solo artist with two releases under his belt, "Lefty Loose Righty Tight" and "Musician." He's also been associated with artists/acts such as the Raisins, the Bears, the Cincinnati Pops, The Ohio Players, Nigerian Afro-Popster Baoku Moses, and Roberta Flack. When not on guitar duty, Rob runs an eponymous studio in Cincinnati, Ohio, and has won numerous awards for his compositional chops in commercial music.

Bob handles bass guitar duties for psychodots. In addition to his work with psychodots, Bob has released a solo album, "Deposition," and has played with the Raisins, the Bears, and the Graveblankets. He currently plays with Raisins alumni Bam Powell in the Cincinnati acts Bucket and Tickled Pink.

Chris covers drums, tenor guitar, mandolin, melodica, and pretty much any other necessary instrument for completing the sonic texture of psychodots. In addition to his work with psychodots, he's released three solo albums, "Hapless," "Hostage," and "The Celebrity Motorcade," and has also recorded five albums with his own band, the Graveblankets.

Following the psychodots performance, pop/rock music icon Todd Rundgren will perform two complete albums, "Todd" and "Healing", in the same live concert.

The first-ever TODD & HEALING ALBUMS LIVE concerts in September 2010 were a huge success and the reviews included many "best ever" comments from fans that have been going to Todd concerts for decades. A large LED display and lasers were on display throughout the shows with Todd and the band dressed in extravagant costumes. Todd brought out his SG Gibson "The Fool" replica guitar and even performed a few songs while playing the piano. He was accompanied by an all-star band consisting of Jesse Gress, Greg Hawkes (The Cars), Prairie Prince (The Tubes), Bobby Strickland, and Kasim Sulton (Utopia). Led by Choir Master Dirk Hillyer, local choirs from each area where the concerts were held joined Todd and the band during parts of the HEALING set and added a brand new element to the music for fans that had only heard it by listening to the album. The shows closed with the song, "Sons Of 1984" which included fan participation even after Todd and the band left the stage.

According to Rundgren, "These shows are proposed and promoted by the fans. I'm lucky to have a very loyal audience.” The musician’s followers enthuse about the energy he brings to the stage, and they embrace the charged vibe that is typical of a Rundgren concert.
