By: feevoo.com We have lot's of the Laptop Accessories you might need to upgrade: http://www.feevoo.com Step One to Clean a Laptop Fan: Turn Off and Unplug the Battery It is important that you don't try to clean a laptop fan with the laptop turned on or the battery plugged in. This will only cause you to end up destroying the laptop and to risk electrical shock or even injury. Turn off the laptop and unplug the battery. The RAM cover is typically located right near the battery compartment. If you are unsure where the RAM cover is located, check the owner's manual. You should be able to remove the screws and slowly lift the RAM cover. One key thing to remember is where you put the screws as you take them out. I like to put them in a snack plastic baggie so that I don't have to hunt for them later on when I'm done with cleaning the laptop fan. If the RAM cover doesn't want to come off, you might have missed removing one of the screws. Remember to never force the RAM cover off of your laptop. If it doesn't want to come off, look carefully at the area and find out what the problem is. Step Three to Clean a Laptop Fan: Remove the Fan Screws It is time to remove the fan screws, once you have the RAM cover completely off of the laptop. Carefully remove the fan screws one by one. I like to put these in a separate snack baggie so that I don't mix them up with the RAM cover screws. That's just my personal preference though. It's completely up to you. Step Four to Clean a Laptop Fan: Gently Wipe and Use Compressed Air The next step is to gently wipe and use compressed air on the laptop fan blades. You want to do this very gently. I like to use cotton swabs and small cotton balls to get the big grime off. Then I finish off with the compressed air to get off fine particles. Final Step to Clean a Laptop Fan: Put it All Back Together The final step to clean a laptop fan is to put it all back together when you are done with step four. You should plan on cleaning your laptop fan at least monthly to prevent heavy build-up on it. You might need to replace your AC Adapter of HP :-) http://www.feevoo.com/ # # # FeeVoo.com is a specialist online distributor & retailer of Laptop accessories.
