Cheryl Lacey Donovan, is a native of Houston, Texas, where she founded Worth More than Rubies Ministries.

In addition to a successful teaching career, Mrs. Donovan is an accomplished writer, ordained minister, and inspirational speaker. She is the award winning author of the inspirational books, The Ministry of Motherhood, and Do You Still Do What Happens Happily Ever After which she co-authored with her husband Keith. Her book, The Ministry of Motherhood, won the African American Literary Award for non-fiction. Mrs. Donovan has been featured in various media, including the Great Day Houston, the North Dallas Gazette, the Reading Circle with Marc Medley, Inspired Women Magazine and on various radio talk shows around the country.
