“This season, Masterworks concertgoers can look forward to an array of works from diverse traditions and different eras, featuring many of today’s most sought-after conductors and soloists,” said James W. Palermo, president and CEO, Colorado Symphony. “We are thrilled to welcome artists such as conductor Yan Pascal Tortelier for opening night; former music director and pianist Jeffrey Kahane, who returns to perform Beethoven; breathtaking violinists Karen Gomyo, Caroline Goulding and Robert McDuffie; as well as pianist Olga Kern, who has become a Denver favorite. This is unquestionably a breakthrough season for the Colorado Symphony.” “In 2011/12, the Colorado Symphony continues to break new ground as we collaborate with artists and bands ranging from DeVotchKa and Ozomatli, to the wonderful Cleo Parker Robinson Dance and Ireland's Celtic Woman in concerts that have the power to attract new audiences and delight experienced concertgoers,” Series Subscriptions and One Night Only sales for the new 2011/12 are now open to renewing 2010/11 season subscribers. The Colorado Symphony welcomes new patrons to purchase subscriptions beginning February 16, 2011. New seat assignments will be made in the order payment is received, and after current subscribers have been seated. Current subscribers can renew their subscriptions and secure their seats and shows until April 15, 2011. Only series subscribers have the opportunity to purchase advance tickets for One Night Only specials such as Renée Fleming, Joshua Bell, Patti LuPone and Celtic Woman. Single tickets for the 2011/12 season will go on sale in August 2011. 2011/12 COLORADO SYMPHONY MASTERWORKS SERIES At the heart of Masterworks are masterpieces that music fans know and love.
