Curtin & Heefner Attorney Sean Sullivan Appointed Co-Chair of Philadelphia Bar Assoc. Committee

Feb. 18, 2011 - PRLog -- The committee provides educational programming for bar members and contributes to shaping appellate law practice in Pennsylvania. Mr. Sullivan is joined as co-chair by Kimberly A. Boyer-Cohen of Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin in Philadelphia.

Mr. Sullivan maintains a significant appellate and commercial litigation practice, representing both large and small businesses in corporate governance litigation, partnership disputes, insurance coverage, product liability, director and officer liability, construction litigation, toxic tort defense, and litigation involving homeowners’ associations. His recent appellate successes include prevailing on two matters of first impression in Pennsylvania, both argued before the Superior Court of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Curtin & Heefner LLP, Mr. Sullivan was associated with two large national law firms, Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC and Kirkpatrick & Lockhart LLP.

In addition to his appellate and business litigation work, Mr. Sullivan is a dedicated member of a number of professional and civic organizations. He serves as an elected member of the Board of Governors of the Philadelphia Bar Association, Secretary of the Litigation Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and Vice President of the Brehon Law Society of Philadelphia lawyers. He also serves as President of the Board of Directors of the Center City Opera Theater in Philadelphia.

A frequent lecturer and writer on legal issues, Mr. Sullivan is frequently called upon as a speaker and course planner for continuing legal education programs, including those offered by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. Sullivan’s professional honors include being named a 2007 Lawyer on the Fast Track by The Legal Intelligencer, and being named a Super Lawyers Rising Star® by Thomson Reuters in 2007, 2008 and 2010, published annually in Philadelphia magazine.
