NSK Inc Recognized for Recycling Efforts in 2010

Feb. 24, 2011 - PRLog -- Boston, MA – NSK Inc, an IT consulting and outsourcing firm based in Boston received its annual report from Earthworm Recycling. Earthworm, based in Somerville, MA, specializes in recycling office waste materials and implementing corporate recycling programs. NSK utilizes Earthworm’s services to increase the sustainability of their Boston office. Over the course of 2010, NSK not only continued their recycling efforts but implemented waste reducing processes as well.

This past year NSK Inc saved roughly 1.5 tons of Carbon from entering the atmosphere and recycled almost 3,000 pounds of paper. Coincidentally, these numbers are slightly lower than 2009. Emily Steinberg, Office Manager at NSK Inc explains that “Since NSK has switched to electronic invoicing, we have reduced our use of natural resources. We finalize our bills as PDF files and send them electronically to our clients instead of mailing hard copies. We have been recycling fewer materials because we aren’t using them.”

As a technologically intensive company, NSK recycled almost 200 pounds of electronic waste this year.
