Edison State College and Goodwill Partner for Donation Drive

Feb. 24, 2011 - PRLog -- Edison State College will host a Goodwill “Good to Go” donation drive on its Lee County Campus from Monday, Feb. 28 through Friday, Mar. 4, 2011.

“We’re excited about the opportunity to partner with the college,” says Goodwill (http://www.goodwillswfl.org) spokeswoman Kirsten O’Donnell.  “Part of the school’s vision is to produce enlightened and productive citizens, and exposing students to nonprofits like Goodwill will definitely help them towards that goal.”

Edison students will be able to donate clothing, accessories, household goods, and small electronics at a Goodwill display in Parking Lot 9, which is located on the southeast side of campus near the intersection of Summerlin Road and Edison Parkway.  Donations will be accepted between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Donors who participate in the week-long donation drive will receive 50% off a single item at any Goodwill Retail & Donation Center in Southwest Florida.  A full list of Goodwill’s stores is on the agency’s website: http://www.goodwillswfl.org.

Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida, Inc.(http://www.goodwillswfl.org) operates 25 Retail & Donation Centers in Southwest Florida to support its mission of providing programs and services to people with disabilities and disadvantages in Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry, and Glades Counties.  Revenue generated from the resale of donated goods in Goodwill stores funds job training and placement services, education and activities for students with disabilities and at-risk youth, transportation assistance, income-sensitive housing and more.
