Self Defense Classes Offered for Donation to Hope House.

Feb. 25, 2011 - PRLog -- TITLE Boxing Club and Celsius Tannery have teamed up to offer a day of self defense classes. Saturday, March 12, 2011, TITLE Boxing Club will host a one and one-half hour self defense training class at each of their five Kansas City metro locations at 2:30 p.m. The classes are open to the public and require a $10.00 donation benefiting Hope House.

A $10.00 donation provides attendees the self defense training class led by a TITLE Boxing Club trainer. These professionals provide tips on how to stay out of a compromising position, as well as techniques to get out of a dangerous situation. Participants also receive a complimentary one week tanning package to Celsius Tannery valued at $15.00.

“This is the second time we’ve offered self defense training to help people in our neighborhoods while raising funds for Hope House, a local charity that offers abuse victims a place of refuge. It’s a win-win for everyone involved as we can try to help people not be victims while giving to a place someone can turn to in the unfortunate event they need a safe haven. We get great feedback from those who participate and it was well attended last year,” said Danny Campbell, Managing Partner and retried professional boxer.

“At Celsius Tannery, a lot of our clients come here before going out of town to unfamiliar cities. We look at this as our chance to get involved in the community and teach people how to defend themselves all while raising money and awareness for Hope House,” said Janessa Messer, Director of Marketing Celsius Tannery.

The Stay Safe for Spring Break self defense classes will be held at 2:30 p.m. at all five local TITLE Boxing Club locations: 119th & Metcalf and 151st & Antioch in Overland Park, Kansas, 76th & State Line in Prairie Village, Kansas, West 153rd Street and I-35 in Olathe, Kansas and 50 Hwy & 291 South in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Attendees are encouraged to call the location near them to reserve their space.
