MTAM Offers Mobile App Developers a Unique Opportunity to Promote a Featured Mobile App

Feb. 26, 2011 - PRLog -- Are you a Michigan-based mobile app developer looking to promote one of your apps to a much wider audience?  Now you can!

The Mobile Technology Association of Michigan is offering a unique opportunity to mobile app developers who become members thru March 12, 2011.  Those mobile app developers that purchase a Small Business Membership by the promotion deadline will receive an opportunity to showcase one of their Apps in a special section which will be added to the MTAM website, and promoted heavily by the trade association.  This opportunity is exclusive to Michigan-based mobile app development firms (ie:  your company headquarters must be located in Michigan; branch locations of out-of-state or foreign organizations do not qualify for this promotion), though non-Michigan-based mobile development firms are encouraged to join as well.

In order to participate in this promotion, your Michigan-based mobile app development firm must purchase a Small Business Membership via the MTAM website (http://GoMobileMichigan.org).  The membership cost is $285 annually, and provides you a wide range of membership benefits in addition to this membership incentive program.  After your membership has been processed, you will then be contacted by MTAM to provide the following items for your featured listing:

•   A graphic icon that represents your app (JPEG format)
•   A one-paragraph description of your app
•   A link to the location where your app may be downloaded

The Michigan-based Mobile Apps section will be added to the MTAM website by March 30th, and MTAM will begin promotion thru a wide variety of media outlets. The Michigan Mobile Apps page will be an on-going feature of the MTAM website, and future participants will pay for the opportunity to be included. Apps placed on the page as part of this promotion are guaranteed to remain there for the one-year membership term, or until the developer asks that they be removed, whichever comes first.

The Mobile Technology Association of Michigan is strongly focused on promoting the mobile services provided by Michigan-based companies, and believes that the State has a huge number of ‘hidden gems’ doing great mobile development work in Michigan.  The group’s Founder / Executive Director, Linda Daichendt states, “Most of Michigan’s mobile app developers are small businesses doing very exciting work, but without a lot of resources to help them promote the amazing apps they’re putting out there.  This leaves them almost exclusively dependent on the app stores, where they end up being lost in the crowd of thousands of other apps.  MTAM feels that it’s extremely important to provide unique opportunities to our member app developers to help them grow their businesses, thereby creating more mobile jobs and helping to improve Michigan’s economy.
