McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP Expands West Coast Corporate Practice

March 3, 2011 - PRLog -- LOS ANGELES — John Babala and Gregory Rovenger have joined the international law firm of McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP (MLA) as partners in the firm’s Corporate practice in its Los Angeles office.

Mr. Babala serves as outside corporate counsel to companies operating in a wide array of industries.  His experience includes, among other things, mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and capital markets and securities matters.  While very active in the California market, he also represents parties in, or transactions involving, Africa, Australia, China and Japan.

Mr. Babala received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and his B.A. from Alma College.

Mr. Rovenger represents public and private companies and private equity firms in a variety of corporate matters, including mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, private equity investments and sales, and general company matters. He also has substantial experience in all manner of real estate transactions as well as international and offshore matters, having represented clients in real estate and other business transactions and litigation in the Caribbean, UK, Mexico and the Pacific Rim.

Mr. Rovenger received his J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of Law, his LL.M. from New York University, and his B.S. from San Diego State University.
