Ice Industries Earns Additional ASME Pressure Vessel Certification

March 7, 2011 - PRLog -- SYLVANIA, Ohio – Ice Industries, Inc., a leading Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) metal stamping, welding and assembly company, announced that it has been awarded ASME Section VIII Division 1 UG-90(c)(2) Certification to Mass Produce Pressure Vessels. This certification, achieved by only 23 manufacturers worldwide, highlights Ice's tank and pressure vessel capabilities at its Grenada, Mississippi subsidiary: Ice Industries Grenada.

"Our state-of-the-art facility in Grenada, Mississippi – along with our highly automated welding, fabrication, and testing equipment – allows Ice to provide high-volume, high-quality air tank and other pressure vessels to manufacturers throughout the NAFTA region," explained Dennis Bryant, Ice Industries' Air Tank Division Manager.

Ice has continued to expand its pressure vessel resources, recently installing additional automated manufacturing and testing equipment. This is exemplified by the recent completion of a powder line capable of producing and coating in excess of 600 Code-compliant vessels each day. Overall, Ice is manufacturing air tanks to DOT, SAE J10, and FMVSS 121 specifications; allowing the company to service a multitude of markets, including aerospace, automotive, defense, heavy vehicle, and medical/dental.

These automated, rolled, and welded tank manufacturing lines are capable of making both steel and aluminum tanks in numerous sizes. Tank diameters begin at 5”, with lengths to 60", and thicknesses to 9/32". Ice Industries also manufactures HVAC industry compressor components, Class A appliance parts, and automotive components in its Grenada, Mississippi facility.
