Whereas most food brands catering to those with food allergies produce baked desserts that are either dairy-free or gluten-free, Egg-Free Epicurean produces baked desserts that are neither. The company's Founder and CEO, Amy Jones Anichini, feels that people with only one or two allergies are underserved, and find themselves with no choice but to choose from foods that are more restrictive than they require, sacrificing taste and familiar flavor.
