Egg-Free Epicurean, San Diego's very own nut-free bakery, introduces cupcakes

March 8, 2011 - PRLog -- Egg-Free Epicurean (peanut-free and tree nut-free too) is finally offering cupcakes. The specialty food brand, whose dedicated production facility is located in Vista, CA, has begun offering cupcakes in four different varieties. The only bad news: cupcakes aren't available for shipping, so customers may only pick up prepaid orders at the facility.

Having just opened its e-store in September, Egg-Free Epicurean is a niche player in a niche industry, that of food allergy specialty brands. Whereas most food brands catering to those with food allergies produce baked desserts that are either dairy-free or gluten-free, Egg-Free Epicurean produces baked desserts that are neither. The company's Founder and CEO, Amy Jones Anichini, feels that people with only one or two allergies are underserved, and find themselves with no choice but to choose from foods that are more restrictive than they require, sacrificing taste and familiar flavor.

Egg-Free Epicurean's cupcakes are available in four varieties. When you visit the brand's website you will discover whimsical product names and "J. Peterman" style descriptions of its cupcakes:
