XYIENCE Brings MMA Icon Wanderlei Silva to Stripes and Blue Marlin Stores on South Padre Island

March 9, 2011 - PRLog -- LAS VEGAS -XYIENCE, maker of Xenergy, the official energy drink of the UFC, is hosting autograph signings with mixed martial arts (MMA) superstar Wanderlei Silva at three Stripes convenience store locations and at Blue Marlin grocery store, all located on South Padre Island, Texas. The area is one of the United States’ leading spring break destinations for college students, and the signings take place during the height of the activity, from March 18 – 19, 2011.

XYIENCE recently established a relationship with Stripes, the retail arm of Susser Holdings Corporation that directly operates over 500 retail convenience stores in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. Currently, Xenergy Premium in Cherry Lime and Mango Guava flavors are available in select Stripes stores in Texas, including South Padre Island. At its beach tent, XYIENCE will offer consumers a manufacturer’s coupon for $1.50 off on cans of Xenergy, redeemable at Stripes locations that carry the sugar- and calorie-free energy drink through March 25, 2011.  

Silva will also make an appearance at Blue Marlin Grocery Store, an independent grocery store also located on South Padre Island that carries Xenergy Premium in Cherry Lime, Mango Guava, Cran Razz and Blu Pom, and Xenergy Xtreme in Orange Fuel and Cherry Rush.

Silva is scheduled to appear at the following locations:  
Friday, March 18
4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.     Stripes, 331 Padre Blvd.    
6:00 p.m.  – 7:30 p.m.   Stripes, 5000 Padre Blvd    

Saturday, March 19
