SBA DESIGNATES PCX, Inc AS HUBZONE CERTIFIED

   PCX Inc. proudly announces that they have successfully met the US Small Business Administration’s (SBA) ardent guidelines for HUBZone designation and are now a certified HUBZone small business as of March 14, 2011. A HUBZone is a Historically Underutilized Business Zone and focuses on areas with historically fewer economic development and US government procurement activities than others. The program is designed to extend several types of contracting benefits solely available to those companies who comply with their HUBZone certifications.
   This certification enables PCX to reach a new level of US Government customer and opens doors into prime contracting opportunities and business relationships. “We see this as an incredible opportunity and important milestone in the seventeen year history of PCX,” says Gilles Aouizerat, CEO of PCX. “This certification means PCX will now be highlighted as a contractor for federal business opportunities. It narrows the playing field and we hope it will allow us to bring more business home to California.”
   A HUBZone certified business is: a small business under SBA standards, owned and controlled at least 51% by U.S. citizens, a Community Development Corporation, an agricultural cooperative or an Indian tribe, principally located within a HUBZone and at least 35% of its employees reside in a HUBZone. The certification process takes months to complete, and includes a complete background check on the applicant company’s background history, current employees and physical location.
