Rebecca Black asks Justin Bieber for a duet on Good Morning America

March 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Rebecca Black has recently asked Justin Bieber on national television to sing a duet with her and has enlisted the help of her fans on Twitter to retweet him regarding her request. On Good Morning America, Rebecca Black said “Justin, if you’re watching this right now, would you do a duet with me? That would be just unreal — it would make my life!”

Rebecca Black is a 13 year old teenage singer whose debut song, “Friday” went viral on Youtube amassing over sixteen million hits in a month. Rebecca Black is being compared to Justin Bieber, who was discovered through Youtube and rose to stardom. However, Rebecca Black has been getting attention for the wrong reasons. There have been numerous negative and spiteful comments made about her song, among which included, “a whole new level of bad,” and “once you listen to the lyrics, you start to realize what a train wreck we're really dealing with” from Times Magazine to “hilariously dreadful” and “worst song ever.”

Despite being hurt by such comments to the extent that she cried, Black was unwillingly to be pushed down. Even after her production company, Ark Music Factory offered to take down the Youtube video of ‘Friday,’ she refused by saying "I decided not to give the haters the satisfaction that they got me so bad I gave up.”

In the midst of all the negativity on the song, there have been a few praises about it. Chris Brown have been noted for saying, "Honest opinion? It was great. I'll be jammin' to it on Friday, Friday." Matthew Perpetua from Rolling Stone stated that “she is actually a pretty decent singer.” A fan of Rebecca remarked, “'Forget Bieber fever, I have the Black Plague.”
