March 19, 2011 - PRLog -- (GREENVILLE, SC)  Tom Dumke of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin will exhibit work in the furniture medium category at Artisphere, Greenville SC's nationally acclaimed arts festival.  The seventh annual Festival will take place May 13-15, 2011 on the streets of Downtown Greenville.

The centerpiece of Artisphere is the Open Air Artist Row, featuring 120 of the highest caliber artists from across the country.  Artisits in the ceramics, drawing, fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, metalworks, 2D and 3D mixed media, oil and acrylic painting, watercolor painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and woodwork media categories will exhibit.

Artists are selected to participate in the festival by a blind jury review process.  Jurors for the 2011 Festival include:  Karen Green, Gallery Director, Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts, Gatlinburg, TN; Katie Lee, Assistant Director of the Center for Craft, Creativity & Design, Asheville, NC; Todd McDonald, Assistant Professor of Art, Painting, Clemson University, Clemson, SC; and Danielle Miller-Gilliam, South Carolina Jewelry and Metal Artist and Designer, Greenville, SC.

"Tom was selected out of a pool of 784 applicants to participate in this year's Artisphere festival," stated Program Director, Liz Rundorff-Smith.  "We are thrilled with the quality and the diversity of the 120 artists selected to paticipate, by the jury review panel, in the 2011 event.  We look forward to welcoming 60 new artists and 60 returning artists to Greenville May 13-15."

The Artisphere Festival includes a wide array of performing arts on outdoor stages, visual arts exhibits at local museums and paticipating galleries, a Culinary Arts Cafe', and Kidsphere, a children's activities area.  Artisphere, ranked a Top 20 art festival in Greg Lawler's Art Fair Sourcebook and recognized as one of the premier art festivals in the country by Sunshine Artist magazine, brings tens of thousands of residents and tourists together to experience the arts in the beautiful West-End Historice District of Downtown Greenville, SC.
