March 24, 2011 - PRLog -- Author Anthony M.T. Majewski and his canine co-writer, "Max," are giving back while barking up educational information – they will donate a portion of the proceeds from their new book, “Dogs Work Too! From Max’s Point of View,” to Leader Dogs for the Blind, a non-profit organization that provides working dogs to people who are visually impaired or blind to enhance their mobility, independence and quality of life.

“Dogs Work Too! From Max’s Point of View” once again follows the “adventures” of six-year old yellow English Labrador Retriever, Max, educating adults and children about how working dogs at Leader Dogs for the Blind “have everyday responsibilities, just like humans,” Majewski says.

“Educating children through the experience of animals, especially dogs participating in others’ lives on a daily basis, connects to kids’ own lives,” says Majewski. “From a dog’s perspective, kids can understand the value of compassion, friendship, and hard work – and what it means to ‘give back,” Majewski adds.

Also partnered with the publishing company, Read How You Want, “Dogs Work Too!” is available in large print, Braille, daisy print, EBook formats, allowing individuals with learning difficulties to benefit from varied formats.

"Leader Dogs for the Blind would like to thank Anthony Majewski and Max for their ongoing support of our organization" adds Susan M. Daniels, Chief Financial & Administrative Officer for Leader Dogs for the Blind.

Majewski and Max’s first book,"Dogs Move Too! From Max's Point of View" was named a winner in the children’s category at the 2009 Beach Book Festival, received runner up awards in the children’s category at the 2009 New York and San Francisco Book Festivals, and three category finalist awards at the 2009 Next Generation Indie Book Awards.
