WFI Utilizes Kickstarter For 2011 San Francisco International Women’s Film Festival

March 28, 2011 - PRLog -- This week the Women’s Film Institute launched its Kickstarter campaign for the San Francisco International Women’s Film Festival (SFIWFF).  SFIWFF is a San Francisco festival showcasing the best in women's cinema.

This year marks the 7th anniversary of our exciting festival whose goal is to help continue the tradition of amplifying the voices of women and girls through film and new media. The festival takes place from April 6 – April 10, 2011 in San Francisco at the Roxie Theatre. Raising funds via Kickstarter enables the festival an opportunity to expand their reach and for supporters to receive festival passes, producer’s credits, t-shirts and DVDs, symbolizing support of the festival and it’s mission to give women and girls a voice in film and new media. “Being able to expand the scale and scope of the festival is very important in today’s technology age, “ states Scarlett Shepard, Executive Director of the Women’s Film Institute.
