CIMS Tire Registration Company Celebrating 40 Years in Tire Industry

March 29, 2011 - PRLog -- AKRON, Ohio, March 30, 2011 – CIMS, the world’s largest independent tire registration group, is celebrating its 40th year in the tire industry this year.

Founded by the late Paul J. Kruder in 1971, CIMS has been the industry leader in providing its clients with that enable the registration of motorists’ replacement tires – a federal mandate enforced by the National Highway Traffic System Administration, NHTSA.

“Because tire registration is a federal law, we help our clients comply with the regulations, but also we give them a valuable sales tool that helps to punctuate to their customers their commitment to safety,” said Susan Kruder, Paul’s widow and current President at CIMS.  “In addition, we are just extending the legacy of Paul who was a well-known tire industry businessman for more than half a century.”

The company commissioned Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio advertising firm Bark at the Moon, to design a new logo for this year’s celebration.  CIMS also is planning a formal commemoration toward the end of the year to recognize its longevity in the industry.

“Paul was so proud of the company and the progress it had made,” Kruder said.  “There aren’t many companies who can say that they have not only been in business for 40 years, but also have been the industry leader for that period of time, too.”

Based in Akron, Ohio, CIMS, Inc. is a privately owned, independent company that has provided products and services to tire manufacturers, private brand owners and tire dealers to facilitate the entire tire registration process.  The company exists to help its clients comply with the record-keeping requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Act (1966) and related federal regulations (49 CFR Parts 574).
