Thanks to the generous support of our returning partners TD Bank financial, & Cineplex Entertainment, ReelWorld Film Festival (RWFF) is proud to announce that Canadian movie "Snow" will be the Opening Night Gala April 5 at Scotiabank Theatre Toronto.

March 29, 2011 - PRLog -- Written, directed and produced by Rohan Fernando and starring Kalista Zachharyias in a performance of a lifetime. This will be "Snow's" Canadian Premiere, following sold-out screenings for its World Premiere at the Cinequest Film Festival, in California.

Snow, follows Parvati, young woman whose life is changed forever when the tsunami strikes a small village in Sri Lanka, washing away everyone in her immediate family - including her twin sister, Kala. Now, Parvati finds herself in Canada, trying to navigate a new life while living in an unfamiliar culture, with distant relatives she has never met. "In a way, Parvati is like a newborn when she wakes up in Canada, groping and stumbling, hoping to one day find herself."

Both Director and Star will be in attendance at the festival.
