“Live From Music City” welcomes guests Jack Marques and Michael Brandvold to this week’s show.

Born on the island of St. Michael, Azores, Jack is from a villa named “Britannia,” which is known as “the land of the singers.” Coming form a musical family, he quickly developed the art of songwriting, and eventually moved on to becoming singer/songwriter/producer.  Jack was writer and front man for the band “Mars Hill,” whose debut CD was produced by Stryper front man Michael Sweet. He has struck out on his on as solo artist. His new CD, “Shine Among The Shadow” is a mixed blend of influences, edgy and melodic, features special guests Tim Gaines from Stryper and Ty Tabor of King’s X.

Michael Brandvold is an entertainment marketing veteran with extensive experience in online, affiliate and social marketing, e-commerce, customer acquisition and retention efforts.  Michael has managed the online efforts for Motley Crue, Rod Stewart, Madonna, Ozzy Osbourne, Gene Simmons and Britney Spears, to name a few.

“Live From Music City” reaches and appeals to singers/musicians who have achieved at least mid-level entry points in their careers. We try to help the artists define the steps they need to take to advance their careers.

We discuss a variety of topics through commentary and with guests to showcase their roles within the performing and recording industry. We also focus on the music business from the perspective of service to the artist, as well as how the artist can achieve the next levels of success.
