McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP Grows Labor & Employment Practice with Addition of Mark L. Keenan

April 1, 2011 - PRLog -- ATLANTA — Mark L. Keenan has joined the Atlanta office of McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP (MLA) as a partner in the firm's Employer Services Group.

For more than 20 years, Keenan has been representing management in labor and employment matters. His traditional labor law practice includes areas such as labor relations, collective bargaining, response to union organizing, labor arbitrations, and unfair labor practice investigations and litigation before the National Labor Relations Board.  He has assisted clients in lawfully maintaining a positive employee relations environment, and has successfully advised clients during dozens of union campaigns across the country.  He also assists employers in reaching their business goals while working with existing union relationships.  In that capacity, he has resolved numerous, complex labor relations issues without labor strife.  "Mark’s outstanding reputation and exceptional labor experience provide an important strategic offering to our clients," said Richard Hankins, partner. Keenan earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from University of Illinois College of Law and a B.B.A., from the University of Iowa.  He has been recognized by Chambers USA as one of America’s “Leading Lawyers” (2008-2010) and named a Georgia “Super Lawyer” for Labor and Employment (2004-2006 and 2010-2011).  

He is admitted to practice in Georgia and Illinois; the United States Supreme Court; the Supreme Court of Georgia; the U.S. District Courts in the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia; the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois; and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, Eleventh and District of Columbia Circuits.
