In this issue we plan to herald the new season with a trip to the races, highlighting information on corporate offerings available at Sandown Park, Aintree and Epsom-what a great excuse to enjoy sipping Champagne.If whisky is more of your thing, however, our selection of some of the best drams is sure to tickle the tastebuds.

In honour of the start of British summertime we are also clock watching with a fantastic selection of classic sports timepieces. There's something for almost every sport and every taste.

Personally, I find sourcing holidays almost as much fun as actually getting away – the challenge of finding just the right hotel, and making travel arrangements to suit me rather than the airline can be time consuming though, so hopefully we’ll have taken some of the leg work out of this season’s selection for you.

It’s still a little early for anything more than a bracing stretch at our own resorts, so we’ve travelled further afield in search of inspiring breaks – be it a long weekend in Istanbul or a three-week sojourn in deepest, darkest Africa. Whether you want to lounge by the watering hole watching the local wildlife around a tented camp, or are more interested in hurtling over waterfalls in a canoe, there’s a location and a tailor-made safari with your name on it. And let me assure you, camping safaris have come a long, long way, and those tents have to be seen to be believed!

Of course, Meze wouldn’t be Meze without an amazing spa break –and this issue is no different.We’ve experienced the best of Thailand this month, with the incredible treatments and the most mouth-watering surroundings of Chivasom. If you want to experience pure relaxation, this could be the spa for you!
