Support for Stepdads is a Smash!!!

April 11, 2011 - PRLog -- Barely two months old the website, http://www.supportforstepdads.com  is still under the radar but those who have visited the site are immediately taken with the instructional yet entertaining style and quickly convert to regulars.  One reader was quoted, “One of the best things that happened to me was to discover this website.”  Another stated, "It’s a shame you don’t have a donate button! I’d definitely donate to this brilliant blog!"  The site’s originator, Gerardo Campbell, a 16+ year veteran stepfather created the site in response to the absence of information, resources and coaching available to stepfathers on web.  According to Gerardo, when he and his wife, Roberta, blended their families back in 1995 there was little, if any, resources available for stepfathers.  Gerardo’s vision for the site is it becomes the first stop for men and their significant others to obtain information, share stories, receive and get advice and encourage one another.

In 2010, for the first time the number of blended families exceeded the number of nuclear families.  This combined with high divorce rate associated with blended families was his motivation to establish, http://www.supportforstepdads.com .  Gerardo stated, “I like to consider the topics I address and talk about as a form of marriage insurance.”  The goal of the website is to serve as a resource to men who are already contemplating becoming stepfather’s so they can prepare and equip themselves for the challenges associated with step fatherhood and be able to lead their families through the mine fields associated with blended families.  While his theme is Support for Stepfathers the articles are gems for both men and women.  Having read several of his posts I found his style to be clever, original and thought provoking.  A look at his article, Stepfather Secrets Revealed, http://supportforstepdads.com/  will convince you of that.  Find out what Pink's Hot Dogs, and Johnny CupCakes has to do with Stepfather Secrets.  Check it out and you'll discover what I and others have and add this site to your bookmarks.
