ShowBiz Expo Announces Auditions for Actors at Entertainment Industry Networking Event

April 11, 2011 - PRLog -- ShowBiz Expo announces it’s exciting line-up of auditions for actors held at the upcoming ShowBiz Expo on May 7, 2011 from 10 AM – 6 PM at the Los Angeles Convention Center, West Hall B.

ShowBiz Expo, a five-star event that brings everyone in show business together under one roof.  Whether you are a producer, studio executive, director, musician, filmmaker, performer, designer, writer, stage manager, or anyone else involved in film, stage, fashion, live events, and concerts this event is for you. CASTING DIRECTOR BIOS:

CRAIG CAMPOBASSO was born in Sun Valley, California. Just out of high school, while attending acting school, he found himself working behind-the-scenes under writer/director David Lynchs’ and producer Raffaella De Laurentiis’ tutelage on Dune. Craig learned from the master storytellers, working on the entire production for 4 years. He also worked on Conan: The Destroyer at the same time as Dune, both films for Universal Pictures and shot at Estudios Churabusco in Mexico City. Raffaella gave Craig his start in the business, and later as a casting director, after he apprenticed as a Casting Associate on Steven Spielberg’s Amazing Stories. With over 50 films under his casting belt spanning 29 years--including Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow  (additional casting), Redline and Prancer, Craig was also nominated for an Emmy for casting David E. Kelly’s Picket Fences. Craig has just completed casting Magic Man, a thriller starring Billy Zane, Robert Davi, Armand Assante & Bai Ling; Pizza With Bullets starring Vincent Pastore (The Sopranos) and Talia Shire (The Godfather and Rocky movies); The Perfect Host starring David Hyde Pierce, Helen Reddy and Clayne Crawford which received great reviews at this years Sundace Film Festival.  He is currently casting: Starbright, a comedy; Cyber Planet, A kids sci-fi movie; The Bottom Line; a comedy. And the PILOT "Sirens."

ADRIANNA PORCARO, CSA:  With over 16 years experience in casting, Adrianna has worked  in every aspect of the casting field, from a casting assistant on The Commish to casting Three of a Kind a feature film with Margo Kidder, Tom Adams & Mario Di Donato.
Adrianna Porcaro is currently the Manager of Casting & Talent Development at GSN.  Prior to making her move to GSN, Adrianna worked at Sony Pictures Television as the Director of Talent & Casting over seeing such shows as Rescue Me, Justified, Breaking Bad and Damages.  

CAROLINE LIEM has been discovering new talent and working with some of the top directors, producers and talent in film and television for the past 13 years. Most recently Caroline was the head of casting for award winning late night show Jimmy Kimmel Live. At Disney Studios she worked in both their feature and television casting departments overseeing such projects as Gone In Sixty Seconds, Pearl Harbor, 102 Dalmatians, Gangs of New York, Annie, and Geppetto. Independently, Caroline’s credits include The Perfect Sleep, X2, Devour, Blade Trinity, When Do We Eat?, Boogeyman, Auto Focus, Life With Bonnie, Two Guys and a Girl, Popular, VIP and many more… Prior to her entry into casting, Caroline studied theatre spending many wonderful years producing and directing plays. She holds an MFA from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a BA from UCLA.

PAUL DINH-McCRILLIS, CSA, is currently casting two independent films, a world-premiere play, and a SAG short. He has been an independent casting director and member of the Casting Society of America for over seven years. His credits include numerous TV shows and pilots, a handful of films, hundreds of plays and, recently, a lot of New Media projects. Paul also spent five great years at the Mark Taper Forum/Ahmanson Theatres. He has always been among the first to embrace new casting technology such as online submissions and audition streaming to help actors save money on postage and hard copies of headshots. Before entering the wonderful world of casting, he worked as a literary agent, actor, and—shh, don’t tell anyone—a dancer.
