April 12, 2011 - PRLog -- Nashville – Al Capone is known to have spent time in Nashville, but new evidence suggests that he may have had several “distribution centers” in Printer’s Alley.

It is recorded in the history books that Al Capone, the most notorious bootlegger of the prohibition era spent time in Nashville. It is reported that he was a frequent guest at the Hermitage Hotel, and he even built a castle on Old Hillsboro Pike in Franklin, TN. Recent evidence discovered suggests that Capone did more than just “site seeing” in Middle TN.
Recently, during renovations of the Nashville Dinner Theater (209 Printer’s Alley) a remarkable discovery was made when a wall in the lower level was accidently breached. “It’s a tunnel that runs all the way to the river (Cumberland)” says Dwayne Strickland of the Nashville Dinner Theater. “It most likely is a bootlegger tunnel.”

Entertainment Producer and history buff John B. Pyka, fascinated by the discovery, began research immediately. “In my research I discovered that Nashville (among other TN towns) was in fact a distribution point for Al Capone’s organization half way between Chicago and Florida” says Pyka. “Further, I’ve looked at the Nashville tunnel and in comparing it to documented Capone tunnels, the construction and structure is remarkably similar. All indications are that not only did Capone do business in Nashville, but in all likelihood, he did business in the very building that the Nashville Dinner Theater calls home!”

Excited by the possibilities, Pyka has created the Speakeasy Revue, to debut at the Nashville Dinner Theater on Thursday April 28th at 8:00 PM. The show’s story revolves around the Capone legend and is a fully interactive Prohibition-era revue complete with gangsters, showgirls, G-men, and cigarette girls! Give the password, step through the secret passage in the bookcase, and into 1933. “It’s very cool” said Vance Nichols of the Nashville Dinner Theater, “and we are so excited to host this show in our Randolph’s Showroom!”

Randolph’s Speakeasy Revue debuts Thursday April 28th at 8 PM and will be presented every Thursday through June 30 (April 28, may 5, 12, 19, 26, June 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30). Full bar, Dinner tickets, and dessert available. Tickets can be reserved online at www.showclix.com and show only tickets are available at the door.
