Andy Kirby Joins C.W. Driver as Senior Project Manager

April 14, 2011 - PRLog -- C.W. Driver, a premier builder serving the Western U.S. since 1919, is pleased to announce the addition of Andy Kirby as senior project manager servicing each of the firm’s Southern California regions. With his new position in the firm’s San Diego office, Kirby will focus on securing future construction projects in the federal sector.

“Andy’s previous project management skills and leadership abilities are going to be a tremendous complement to our team,” said C.W. Driver Senior VP of Business Development Bob Maxwell. “His extensive background will be a driving force behind our firm’s plans to expand in the military and federal market sectors.”

Currently, Kirby is overseeing C.W. Driver’s federal joint ventures and will focus on pursuing federal/military work for C.W. Driver. A Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Naval Reserves, Kirby brings with him a strong military background, having spent time as a Civil Engineer Corps Officer and Resident Officer in Charge of Construction for the U.S. Navy at its Point Loma Naval Base.

Prior to joining C.W. Driver, Kirby served as vice president of operations for Suffolk Construction’s government division and was responsible for establishing a strong federal division. He received his bachelors of science degree in systems engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and is a member of the Society of American Military Engineers and the Construction Management Association of America.
