Gulf Coast Humane Society Gives New Audi A4 at The Fast & The Furriest Walk

April 15, 2011 - PRLog -- Fort Myers, FL- Runners, walkers, dog owners, and animal lovers from all “walks” of life crossed the finish line on a beautiful sunny afternoon, just before John Marazzi handed John and Lisa Gast of Naples, Florida the keys to a brand new Audi A4. The Fast & The Furriest 5K Run/1M Walk was held at Coconut Point on Thursday, April 7 to benefit the Gulf Coast Humane Society.

The fun family event was sponsored by John Marazzi’s Audi Jaguar Land Rover and Nissan dealerships in Fort Myers and Naples. Everyone enjoyed live entertainment, great food, drink specials, and prize giveaways. The evening culminated with the award of the Audi to the Gasts, who had donated $100 and received ticket #5 at the inaugural “Home for the Holidays” fundraiser on December 4th.

The Gulf Coast Humane Society is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization serving Southwest Florida for more than 60 years. Its mission is to provide humane shelter and medical care for abandoned and neglected animals, with adoption into loving, forever homes. It is a no-kill shelter and receives no federal, state, county funding, or contributions from the Humane Society of the United States, relying solely on its own donations, grants, bequests, and fundraising events to further its mission.
