Follow on Google News | Garden Centre Launches Reward Card Scheme For Loyal CustomersWaterways Garden Centre's New Loyalty Scheme Proves Popular With Customers Looking For More For Their Money
By: Carl Nagaitis Customers can now apply for a free Waterways Reward Card at the Llan-Y-Pwll garden centre or via the centre’s website to collect points for every purchase which can then be redeemed against future purchases. And the scheme, which effectively gives customers ten per cent back for every pound they spend, already looks set to be major success for the garden centre with customers scrambling to put their card applications in. “We know our customers look for value for money and we appreciate their loyalty,” said Waterways chairman Mr Ian Buxton. “And the new Waterways Reward Card is the perfect way of rewarding that loyalty. “Our system is fully automated. Every time a customer makes a purchase he or she simply hands in their card at the till to have their reward points logged onto their account. Then they can save their points, like money in the bank, and use them on their future purchases. “It’s simplicity itself and perhaps that is why we have already issued so many cards to customers. It is also thought to be the first reward scheme of its kind in a Welsh garden centre. The centre’s new reward-card system is based on a real-time technology developed by Deeside company Loyalty Pro, which automatically allocates points to a database of customers. Waterways Garden Centre moved to the four acre Llan-Y-Pwll site in 1997 from its previous location in Rossett. It attracts customers from across North Wales, Cheshire and further afield. “We are very much a family destination,” “The loyalty of our customers has kept this business busy for nearly 30 years, so it was quite natural that we wanted to give something back especially in these financially challenging times. “Then back in October I was reading a newspaper article about customer loyalty schemes and thought what a good idea. I went onto the internet and found Loyalty Pro. And the Waterways Reward card was the end result. “Let’s hope it remains as popular with customers as it has so far.” Loyalty Pro technical director, Chester businessman Rob Meakin, speaking from the company’s Sandycroft near Chester HQ said: “It was a pleasure to work with Waterways because they immediately recognised the value of a real-time, high spec reward card system. These scheme is clearly proving very popular with the customers, as we are about to dispatch the third re-print of Waterways cards.” For further information about the Waterways Garden Centre click onto www:waterwaysgardencentre.co.uk End
