Gordon McKernan & McKernan Law Firm Settle Car Wreck

April 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Gordon McKernan and McKernan Law Firm settle a car wreck where the defendant backing from a private driveway in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  The client was a 43 year-old self-employed carpenter.  The police report indicated the damage was minor.  As a result of the collision, the plaintiff sustained a herniated disc in his cervical spine.  Over the course of his medical treatment, the plaintiff received chiropractic treatment and two ESIs which provided him with moderate relief.  Surgery was then recommended.  Plaintiff did not suffer any past or future lost wages and his medical expenses totaled $14,238.  Based off of his treatment and surgical recommendation his case settled for $265,000, which was comprised of the liability carrier’s $250,000 policy limits and plaintiff’s $15,000 underinsured motorist limits.
