Follow on Google News | Exotic Electro-Optics Announces Development of Enhanced Durability Diamond-Like Carbon CoatingsAnnouncing the development of enhanced durability on the company’s existing Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coatings.
Existing requirements demand equivalent performance after as much as 5,000 wiper blade revolutions in a mix of water and sand particles. This new enhanced coating has increased durability to over 40,000 revolutions. These coatings are ideal for externally exposed germanium substrates, and other Long Wave Infrared (LWIR) applications. Evan Lundstedt, Director of Programs and Business Development commented, “This effort represents our continued commitment to internal research and development and our drive to continuously improve our capabilities to keep our customers, and EEO, ahead of the competition.” About Exotic Electro-Optics Founded in 1961, Exotic Electro-Optics (EEO) is an established supplier of visible through infrared optical components and subassemblies to the military and aerospace industries for electro-optical imaging systems and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) applications.
