April 26, 2011 - PRLog -- Fregia's Courtesy Ford Lincoln of Danville has teamed up with Ford Motor Company to raise money for Danville High School. On May 7th 2011, come down to Courtesy Ford in Danville, IL and test drive a Ford vehicle for every vehicle test driven, Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to the afterschool programs at Danville High School. If you test drive a brand new 2012 Ford Focus, Ford will donate $30 to Danville High School.

The Ford Motor Company’s highly successful “Drive One 4 UR School” test-drive program, which brings together local dealerships and neighborhood high schools to raise money for extracurricular activities, has kicked off once again. The program got its start in 2007 and has become Ford’s most successful test-drive initiative ever, with some 1,500 events held in 49 states since then, garnering approximately 255,000 test drives—and raising more than $5 million for before- and after-school activities across the country.

Needless to say, it’s made a huge difference for many communities where budget problems have greatly reduced extracurricular opportunities for students.

This year’s Drive One 4 UR School program will put a special focus on Ford fuel efficiency and technology, and include vehicles like:

2011 Fiesta—The sharp new Fiesta boasts available features like the automaker’s SYNC in-car connectivity and convenience system, as well as the ability to achieve a best-in-class EPA rating of 40 mpg highway, thanks in part to Ford’s innovative PowerShift six-speed automatic transmission and enhanced electric power-assisted steering (EPAS).

2012 Focus—Also featuring PowerShift and EPAS, the all-new Focus brings European driving dynamics and style to the compact segment, as well as available content like the latest MyFord Touch system and Torque Vectoring Control for improved handling. And it, too, can reach 40 mpg highway.

The special event includes: Test drive donations, free car washes, and a special show car apperance by Nascar's Motorcraft 21 car (2011 Daytona 500 winning racecar).

"This is a great program for the community, we look forward to raising thousands of dollars for Danville High School.” says Ray Fregia Jr., owner of Courtesy Ford Lincoln. Please come out to help Courtesy support Danville High School from10 am til 4 pm on May 7, 2011.
