April 28, 2011 - PRLog -- TBK Consult today published the BECH index for 2010 which shows a 2,4% increase in world demand for ITC  products and services and a continued shift in demand away from North America/EU towards Asia.

The “winner” is China with a growth of almost 50% with India as number 2 with 39,6%.  South Korea takes the bronze medal with 30,2%.

“The move we saw in 2009 continues in 2010”, explains Hans Peter Bech, CEO and founder of TBK Consult. “The share of world wide demand in North America declined from 40,5% to 39,4%, South America grew slightly from 3,9% to 4,0, the European Union declined from 28,2% to 26,7% and Asia/Pacific grew from 19,4% to 21,5%.”

The BECH index is a simple approximation of the relative demand for ITC products worldwide and for each country in the world.  The BECH index shows that world demand has recovered from the recession, when world demand declined by almost 5% between 2008 and 2009.  The BECH index shows an increase in world demand of 2,4% between 2009 and 2010.
