Former Maryland United States Attorney Thomas M. DiBiagio Joins McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP

May 3, 2011 - PRLog -- WASHINGTON — McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP (MLA) is pleased to announce that Thomas M. DiBiagio has joined the firm’s white collar litigation practice as a partner in the Washington, DC office.  As a former United States Attorney for the District of Maryland, DiBiagio’s experience will enhance MLA’s white collar criminal defense and complex civil litigation capabilities.

“Tom’s extraordinary experience in regulatory, civil and criminal enforcement actions will be a critical asset to our firm,” said Tami Lyn Azorsky, MLA Litigation Department chair.  “His unique insight will be invaluable to our clients facing investigations or regulatory actions related to health care fraud, financial and securities fraud, environmental crimes, and public corruption cases, as well as Foreign Corrupt Practices Act matters.

DiBiagio served in a variety of law enforcement positions for more than 13 years before entering private practice. In his role as an assistant U.S. attorney, he tried numerous financial fraud cases.  As a United States Attorney, he led the office’s successful prosecution of significant public corruption and corporate fraud cases, including the largest bank fraud in U.S. history.  Prior to joining MLA, DiBiagio was a principal at Beveridge & Diamond PC.
