May 4, 2011 - PRLog -- Miami - Citing the words of Melissa Murer Corrigan, President of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (ICE), IAAR Executive Director, Patricia Valdes told the new CSAR-certified members of the fast-growing association of the value their CSAR credential brings to them and their organizations.

Corrigan, who heads ICE, the world's leading credentialing organization stated, "Attaining professional credentials provides an immediately recognizable indication that a candidate has demonstrated the skills necessary to meet a standard of quality set within the industry. In so many situations, credentials provide that ever-important foot in the door."

"Proper credentials are the first thing (many businesses) look for when hiring new employees and making promotions,” the ICE statement continued.

The International Association for Asset Recovery (IAAR) developed the Certified Specialist in Asset Recovery (CSAR) certification in 2010 to serve the burgeoning yet long-neglected art of asset recovery. It is the first legally defensible, psychometrically-sound credential in asset recovery. Prior to IAAR, there were no credentials for the thousands of professionals who deal with asset recovery.

The CSAR exam is the culmination of an eight-month process that involved more than 30 experts, a leading psychometrics firm and hours of conference calls and trans-continental meetings. Lawyers, forensic accountants, investigators, and information analysts throughout the world have earned the CSAR credential. For more information, IAAR has created the Why CSAR? page.

"The process of developing the certification exam was a labor-intensive one where we spared no expense," said Patricia Valdes, IAAR Executive Director. "Along with the exam, we provide training for our members and CSAR candidates live and online – all taught by industry experts."
