Follow on Google News | ![]() Daylily Show And Sale At Callaway Gardens®Public Invited to Participate in Daylily Competition and Sale
By: Callaway Gardens The public is invited to enter their flowers in a daylily competition. Those interested should simply bring registered daylilies along with their names to the Callaway Discovery Center between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. CVDS volunteers will assist participants in classifying and setting up their entry. There is no cost to participate in the competition other than Gardens admission. Guests to the Gardens can view and purchase daylilies of their choice from a wide array of bloom sizes and colors. They also will be able to see the award-winning daylilies in a variety of categories from the morning’s judged competition. Daylilies are great for the beginning gardener who has lots of sunlit space. These beautiful flowers tolerate a wide array of soil types and are nearly fool-proof. The sale will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the show will be 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Joseph W. Jones Education Wing of the Callaway Discovery Center.
