YARDLEY, PA, May 9, 2011 – Activant Solutions Inc., a leading technology provider of business management solutions serving mid-market retailers and distributors, announced that Rawson Inc., a manufacturers’ stocking representative for instrumentation, valve and control products headquartered in Houston, Texas, has selected Activant’s Prophet 21® ERP solution as the IT backbone to advance its business to the next level.

The Prophet 21 software solution provides a scalable business management system for wholesale distributors, utilizing a Microsoft Windows®-based platform and SQL Server® database to improve warehouse, order and inventory management; purchasing automation; financial management; and reporting and analysis. As part of this new strategic relationship, Rawson will deploy the Activant Wireless Warehouse Management Solution™, DynaChange™ Rules and Portals, Activant Business Analyzer™, Trading Partner Connect™, B2B Seller™, Strategic Pricing, and document imaging. In addition, Activant will provide its highly acclaimed professional services, including business process re-engineering and change acceleration training. Rawson will utilize Activant’s Austin, Texas, datacenter to host its user data for 200 Prophet 21 users across 15 branches.
